Filidas Apartments

Overview

Filidas Apartments is a multilingual accommodation website developed for a hospitality property in Skiathos, Greece.

The platform was designed to serve international visitors, combining the presentation of the property and its accommodation options with dynamic content management and an integrated electronic payment flow.

The challenge

For an accommodation business serving international guests, the website needed to do more than simply provide information.

Visitors needed to be able to explore the property and its accommodation options in their preferred language, use the website comfortably across desktop and mobile devices, and securely complete electronic payments without relying on a disconnected external process.

At the same time, the platform needed to remain easy to manage as property information and content changed.

The solution

I developed a custom Laravel application that brings the property's public-facing website and its underlying functionality into a single platform.

The website supports content in three languages, allowing Filidas Apartments to communicate effectively with visitors from different markets.

Accommodation and property information is presented through a responsive interface designed to work consistently across desktop and mobile devices.

Multilingual experience

Multilingual support is integrated directly into the application rather than being treated as a separate version of the website.

Content can be presented in three languages, providing a consistent browsing experience for international visitors while keeping the underlying content manageable from a single system.

Online payments

A key part of the project was the implementation of an internal electronic payment flow.

Customers can initiate and complete payments through the website using an integrated payment gateway, allowing the payment process to remain connected to the platform rather than relying on a separate manual workflow.

Content management

The platform includes dynamic content management, allowing website content and accommodation information to be maintained without requiring changes to the application's source code for routine updates.

Technology

The application is built with Laravel and PHP, with MySQL handling application data.

The frontend uses Blade, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, with responsive layouts designed for both desktop and mobile use.

Payment functionality is implemented through an integrated electronic payment gateway.

Result

The result is a purpose-built hospitality platform that combines multilingual property presentation, dynamic content management and online payments within a single application.

Rather than functioning only as a promotional website, Filidas Apartments has a digital platform that supports both the presentation of the business and an important part of the customer payment journey.
